From Daisy's Mom:
Hi! I saw your comment about hypoallergenic cats. Devon Rex cats have soft, curly fur that sheds hardly at all. It is something like a poodle's coat, only much softer and shorter. Many people who are allergic to cats are able to tolerate Devon Rex cats, but they are not 100% hypoallergenic.

Daisy is funny, active, intelligent and sweet. She is completely an indoor cat, except for when she goes outside on her harness and leash. Let me know if you have any other questions, I love to talk about Devon Rex cats!

Thanks for the tips. Any info will help. I've dropped on "Daisy the Curly Cat" several times. Actually, it was one of the blogs that moved me to write this post!

Hi! My husband grew up with dogs but they were hunting dogs, kennelled outside until they were needed for hunting or home defense patrol. My experience was quite different. We had a poodle-terrier mix dog when I was growing up and she was indoors and part of the family.

So when my husband and I decided we were ready for a dog, I told him about how it was going to be and he wasn't too sure. But it all worked out due to my extreme level of commitment to grooming, exercising and training the dog. She's just like a person - except that she never tells a lie! Hubby is amazed at how sensitive, loving and personable a dog can be - he never knew. The dogs of his youth were just used as filthy caged mercenaries.

Speaking of allergies - head over to "Daisy the Curly Cat" blog and look at her breed. I think those cats are largely hypoallergenic - ask Daisy via a comment and she'll give you the scoop. The Devon Rex "Diasy" cats are very, very intelligent and active. The best of both the cat and dog worlds! Might want to look into it.

Cheers! Bonnie and Pepper
