When You’re Money Ahead Something Bad Will Happen

This is something that my father-in-law used to say to my husband when he was young.  Sure enough we got a slap in the face today when my husband deposited his check.  Our savings account was doing pretty good.  We had gotten a hold of our spending and had planned to use the savings to pay our $1700 property tax bill and the expected deductible from my medical expenses and the birth of the baby.  When he got the receipt for the account though it showed only $200, which was shocking. At first I thought maybe someone had stolen his identity or something.  When he asked the teller about recent withdrawals there was one from the local court seizing his account to pay for a debt he’d been making regular payments on.

It is frustrating and upsetting.  I don’t know what we are going to do now.  Our tax bill is due in less than a month.  Now we don’t have money for the deductible on the baby or for maternity clothes that I’ll soon be needing (even after losing 17 pounds I’m still 20 pound heavier than I was at my lightest with my first baby so none of my old maternity clothes will fit :-().

I feel like a complete and total loser because I haven’t found a steady way to make money to contribute to the family.  It makes me want to scream when nothing I post on Ebay sells, none of my auctions here are selling either, any time I find a promising work at home opportunity they ask for an investment that I can’t afford to make.  What am I going to do???

There is a new sponsors section on our site and donations are always openly and appreciatively accepted.  Please click on our sponsors sites.  I have size 6 1/2 shoes, both casual and dressy, that I can sell.  Just tell me what you are looking for - I might have it.  Also, I have casual and dressy clothes sizes 8 through 12.  I’ve lost all illusions about getting back into these clothes so if you are looking for a business suit, dress, cocktail gown, jeans, shirts, etc. PLEASE contact me.  I’m going to try to set up an online store through the blog so you all can see these items.  It is going to take me some time to set up and photograph everything so if in the meantime you are looking for something specific - email me or leave me a comment.

i’m sorry to hear about what happened with the money. my family is also currently undergoing some financial problems but i’m doing my best to help my husband. i’m doing paid ads from payperpost and other ad networks. i’ve tried the pay per clicks but i’ve earned very little from that. i would suggest you try paid ads.

hang in there, everything will work out fine.
