<description>"Is it just not common knowledge among people that these things have roots in things demonic and pagan?"

But who calls it demonic and pagan? I did not grow up in the Christian religion, and I utilize tools such as meditation, divination, and things you would call "casting spells" or something similar, although it is more like prayer and positive thoughts.

I have never done any of these things to cause harm or negative impacts on anyone, and indeed, when compared to the ideals that Christians prefer to live by as set forth by Jesus, I do live a good and moral life.

Am I evil? Because I use different methods and different names for the divine light that gave birth to us all and turns the stars around us?

I am interested in continuing this discussion if you wish. :) It is interesting to see what someone else may think of how I interact with deity - especially someone who may consider me evil or deluded.

Thank you!

<description>This is very thoughtful! I agree with you completely. I think in the US we are so far removed from seeing explicit demonic activity for what it is, that it's easy for people to not realize how much harm this dabbling can actually do. As a culture, we have no fear of evil because we like to believe that it doesn't exist. Yikes! Thanks for this article, I really resonate with what you're saying. :)</description>
