Thanks to Simply Earth I received a complimentary bottle of 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil for the purposes of review.  This month the company’s charity is The Hope Project.  Their purpose is to support and rehabilitate the victims of human trafficking.  Simply Earth is donating 13% of their profits to this cause.

The 15ml bottle came in a padded envelope and wrapped in a double layer of bubble wrap. The container was well sealed and not leaking.  It’s nice to see that they take care in shipping their product.  The oil is very strong and fragrant.  It provided the cooling warmth that you’d expect from well distilled peppermint oil.

Peppermint oil is a very versatile essential oil.  Personally, I use it in my shampoo to help with flakes and soothe irritation, as an additive to massage oils and also as an aromatherapy treatment for sinus congestion.  This is only a handful of the many uses of peppermint.  I found a wonderful article on the Dr. Axe website that lists the top 25 uses of peppermint essential oil part of it is cited below.  If you go to the original article you’ll find more information on contraindications and potential reactions of using this essential oil.  Always remember to dilute essential oils before use.
