Chamberlain’s Leather Milk Leather Care Liniment Review #ad

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Many years ago even before we had kids we decided to purchase leather furniture for our living room.  It has been one of the best investments we’ve made in our home.  The set it now at least 13 years old and had endured the abuse of little hands, feet, food and bums over the last 9 years.  I try my best to keep them clean, but without the proper types of cleaners I have noticed minor damage and weak spots on the leather.  When I had the chance to try an all natural leather care liniment I jumped at the chance.Chamberlains

Chamberlain’s Leather Milk comes in an old-fashioned looking black plastic bottle with labeling resembling something out of the 19th century.  Prominently displayed on the front is the fact that the liniment is made in the USA!  A terry cloth covered sponge cleaning pad accompanies the bottle of cleaner.  It’s texture is soft yet strong enough to gently scrub the grime out of the wrinkles and crevices of the leather.  I used it to clean my husband’s favorite chair. You can watch how it turned out here –

As per the directions I took a wet cloth and wiped down the chair first.  This knocked of some of the more set in grime and prepared the leather for conditioning.  The liquid really is the consistency of milk so there is no need to squeeze the bottle very hard.  It soaks readily into the cleaning pad and the leather as you clean it.  Before sitting on or using your leather items after conditioning you should allow the to try at least 30 minutes.  I used quite a lot of Chamberlain’s on the seat so it took a good 90 minutes for the tackiness to go away from the seat surface.  This isn’t a apply and gently wipe situation either.  It did take some elbow grease to remove some of the more set in grime.  Places we take for granted when doing a cursory cleaning of our furniture will need extra attention and effort to get “sparkling” again.  It was pleasant that the cleanser did not have an overly chemical smell.  It smelled like cherries!  Yum.

Chamberlain’s leather milk is made with natural conditioners that gently clean your leather.  Use it on all kinds of leather items – furniture, jackets, purses, book covers, auto interiors etc.  Since it’s lighter and the oils used are not heavy it can be frequently applied to help your leather retain it’s suppleness and stay clean.  It is not recommended for very soft leather items or suede.  Also there is a possibility it could darken some lighter colored items so if you are unsure try the leather milk on an inconspicuous part of the item before proceeding with the whole thing.

An 8 oz. bottle of Chamberlain’s Leather Milk Leather Care Liniment can be purchased on their website for $18.95.  It comes with a reusable cotton terry applicator pad. Want to win a bottle? Go here today only 6/4/14
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
