I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for mike’s hard lemonade. I received a Circle K gift card to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Moms you know life can be stressful. We all have responsibilities. . . and lots of them. We women have the tendency to think of others – our families, friends or jobs – before ourselves. Stress and heredity contribute to one of the most frightening health issues a person can face – cancer. How can we “treat ourselves” to counteract the effects of stress and fight back against heredity?
Eat Well
Take the time to prepare yourself a decent breakfast and lunch. These are the meals that tend to suffer the most. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but make sure it’s balanced. You need lean protein, good fats, fiber from fruits and veggies and water to drink. As much as we’d like to think filling our tummies with a latte and muffin (aka cupcake without the frosting) is enough you could be boarding the stress train before you even step foot out of the house. . . or the coffee shop :).
Get Organized
Planning your time, putting things away and making sure your house and office have some semblance of order can reduce your stress later. Do your best. This is one area that I need more work in, but I try a little every day. Make a list, draw up a schedule or do whatever works for you and your situation.
Make Time for Exercise
You don’t have to run a marathon, but planning to walk a few hundred more steps today can do wonders for your health tomorrow. Take the stairs. Do some squats at break time to get the blood flowing. Any little bit of exertion that gets the heart pumping and blood to the brain can temporarily give you an oxygen high and clear your thinking.
Take Some “ME” Time
You may not be 5 anymore, but that’s not to say a nap wouldn’t be enjoyable. Plan 30 minutes out of your week to watch your favorite show. What do you find cathartic? Do you like to hang out with friends, watch the sunset, craft, sew, sing, dance or play a sport? DO IT! Then you can sit back and have a crisp, refreshing mike’s hard pink lemonade and reflect on all the good in your life.

Next time your on the run doing errands, taking kids to practice or just out getting fuel for the car you can get some “fuel” for you and the gang at Circle K. Not only do they carry the mike’s pink hard lemonade flavored with real lemons – the juice and the zest, but they offer all kinds of healthy, fun and convenient snacks for the family on the go.
Circle K helped me fill more than just my gas tank. The day I went to pick up my six pack of mike’s hard pink lemonade I was able to grab a gallon of milk, some eggs, a couple bags of chips and a f’real mango smoothie (for the ride home). Some needs for the family and some wants to share with them later.
I had a few moments later that evening to indulge in a mike’s hard pink lemonade while I watched the sunset paint the sky bright orange and yellow behind the grey blue clouds as the moon rose in the east. It was a refreshing pairing to a beautiful view.
