Ifirst heard of Krav Maga on Instagram. The post said, “Don’t mess with a woman who practices Krav Maga for fun.” This peaked my curiosity and I had to find out what this was. I learned that Krav Maga is an Israeli self defense martial art. I’ve never been terribly interested in learning martial arts or even self defense. The thought of learning to hurt other people on purpose has always been a turn off for me. In working out with other programs I discovered that boxing and kick boxing were fantastic ways to work your entire body that were also fun. I’d always be striking at air, but it was fun to work on my form.
Thanks to Krav Maga In No Time I received access to an online home self defense course for the purposes of review. So often the videos for these at home workouts are poorly shot and badly narrated. This is NOT the case for this home training course. You can tell that the instructor being filmed is speaking a different language, but the voice of the narrator has such a pleasant voice it really doesn’t matter that his words don’t match the mouth movements of the teacher. For some reason I loved the narrators accent.
All the videos in the self defense home training series are fairly short. None of them are over 10 minutes. It would be nice to have a 20 or 30 minute circuit of moves we could use as a workout. Guess I’ll just have to learn all the moves and figure that out for myself :).
Though I have no interest in learning how to kick someone’s butt, I’m glad I learned some fun new moves which I can use for fitness and wellness and improving my own well being.
I received a complimentary item for the purposes of review. All opinions are my own and based on first hand use of the product.
