This set comes with the bluetooth headset, a microUSB cable for charging and a 3.5 mm. This is one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve used to date. What makes them better is that they are wireless and connectable by Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio jack. The headband and earpieces are very cushioned. The headband is adjustable for a custom fit and the earpieces rotate making them even more easily conformed to your head.
The headset is labeled with L & R for Left and Right. On the left earpiece on the bottom are the on/off control, music/track fast forward/skip and reverse (these double as volume buttons. Also you will find the 3.5mm jack and micro USB input on this side. On the right there is the switch for “noise cancellation”. The noise cancellation does a low humming, almost pulsating, noise in the background when you aren’t listening to anything or having a conversation. BUT there is a significant difference in sound quality between when the noise cancelling is ON compared to OFF. ON is definitely better. It does tend to drill into your head after a while if you are wearing them while not listening to any audio though.
One little quirk I noticed about this headset is that when I connected it to my PC via Bluetooth it automatically raised the volume to 100% (this didn’t happen with my phone). I didn’t realize what had happened until I almost burst my eardrums playing music at full volume directly into my head! Pay attention to what your volume level is on any device after pairing just to be sure you don’t face the same issue.
I wish the directions were more clear about exact distance you could be from the bluetooth signal source, how long the battery charge will last (the listing on Amazon says 12 hours), and how long it will take to recharge the headset. I know it says in the directions the max distance is 20M, but I didn’t get much further than 20 feet before it started cutting out. I didn’t think Bluetooth was good for distances beyond 30 feet anyway? Could it be a typo in the instructions?
My favorite uses of this headset are –
– Video editing
– Watching videos online
– Making/Taking phone calls
– Listening to music
I suppose if your television were bluetooth enabled you could pair this headset with it and watch TV quietly if you needed or wanted to. The headset is very comfortable and I’ve had no trouble wearing it for hours at a time.
Thanks to Marsee I received this headset free in exchange for my honest review. These are my opinions based on my experience with this product. Your experience may differ from mine.
