#SharingSmall Socks Subscription Service for Kids Review

sharingsmallsocks1Sharing Small is a Vancouver-based sock subscription service for kids! Our socks feature two explorers engaging in a new adventure each month, and our subscribers (children aged 2-12) receive two pairs per month along with a fun letter, a color poster and a sticker each month. For every pair we ship, we also donate a pair to a child in need.

I received two pairs of large socks (fits age 9-12) for review which I shared with my two little girls.  The socks from the Sharing Small Socks subscription are little ankle socks made of cotton and spandex which work well with their walking shoes and athletic shoes.  Each pair is embellished with the image of the “sock” adventurers acting out their adventure of the month.  A little poster that looks like an oversize postcard shared their parachuting adventure and asked questions to ignite the kids imagination.  It encouraged them to think about something they’ve never tried before and would like to do.  The closing even reminds them that two pairs of socks were also shared with children in need.

As a mom who homeschools her kids neat activities that incite their imagination are great jumping points for conversation.  The ideas can get them making lists, drawings and paintings of their ideas.  Also, the fact that a pair is given to a child in need for each sent helps move along the conversation about living conditions all around the world.  It’s a great way to teach our kids to appreciate what they have available that not everyone has readily.

I received a complimentary sample for the purposes of review.
