After weeks of bitter cold that lead to extremely high electric bills we are now hit by a weather system that brings snow. I can’t really complain though because at least for us that is all it is bringing. Farther south our poor compatriots are faced with snow and ice making travel virtually impossible. On the news this evening it was reported that there were more than 700 weather related accidents across the mid and deep south central region of the US. This sounded incredible, but my husband said he’d heard that there were places in Arkansas that got 3″, yes three inches, of ICE – not just snow.
So, stay home, stay warm and gather round the fireplace or wood burning stove. I have a feeling there will be many across the country over the rest of the week that will be out of power.
