Thanks to TwirlyGirl.com and Tomoson I received a Spinderella Dancing Cloud Petal dress for my little girl to try out for the purposes of this review.
My little ones love to play princess. Whether it’s Cinderella or Princess Celestia from Equestria they are playing princess of some kindon a daily basis. A key to their performances is the proper attire. TwirlyGirl specializes in the perfect little girl dresses for play. When the Spinderella dress arrived on our doorstep wrapped like a piece of candy it was a delight to watch my 4 year old unwrap it to find the whimsical dress inside. She loves how soft and flowy and comfortable the little dress is. It is just long enough right now that she can wear it with or without tights or leggings. It is roomy enough and the sleeves are long enough that she will easily be able to wear this for at least a year as long as she wears it with leggings or shorts underneath. She’s worn it out in public several times with her favorite pair of pink shoes, but her favorite way to use the dress is for play time.
These are just 2 of the 6 designs of the long sleeve Spinderella dress that TwirlyGirl now has available.
Here are a few details about the Spinderella Dress we received –

In my book play clothes need to comfortable, durable and easy care. You can tell from the details above that the dress is made from comfy fabrics that are soft and fun to wear. There is nothing binding or uncomfortable about this dress. The quadruple lock stitch on the seams ensures that the garment will last through all the wear, tear and spinning your little girl will do with this dress.
Bonbon did manage to get the dress dirty with hot chocolate and what I think was grease in the first week we had the dress. Needless to say I was mortified. I used a FelsNaptha bar that I received from Purex to treat the stains and then popped it in a cold water wash and tumble dried on low. Voila! Perfectly clean dress with no signs of shrinkage, discoloration or even wrinkles (that weren’t supposed to be there in the first place like on the velvet). As for a wearable work of art, well, I think the garment and the fact that it is limited edition speaks for itself.
When you visit the TwirlyGirl shop website to look at the little girl dresses don’t take for granted the features other than the store. They offer little movies written and performed by Hollywood actors to entertain your kids. Each dress has a modified fairy tale or story of adventure of a precocious little girl.
They also offer a Girls Personality Test which will help you or your daughter figure out which style of little girl dresses suits their personality better (the results pages need to be updated, but the idea is there). My oldest daughter scored a 25 making her a Fairy Godmother based on the answers I chose – her’s may be different – but the sweet dress which was the result of the test was no longer available. A dress I think she’d like is the Marvelous Maxi Dress in Fairy Glen Melodies size 8. She felt bad that Bonbon got a dress but she didn’t :(. If none of the styles particularly suit you just as they are TwirlyGirl also offers the option of designing your own dress!
The Spinderella dress is available right now is 6 styles in sizes from 2T to 14. They retail for $68 and TwirlyGirl also offers a range of matching – or not – leggings to wear with their dresses.
