BA Star Eyeshadow Palette Review

Thanks to BA Star I received full size samples for the purposes of review.

When you are on stage, the dance floor, or in front of the camera your makeup can make or break your polished look.  Though in everyday life you may not layer on the eye shadow and blush to shape your look, but when you are performing you want the glitter, shine and contours to stand out.  BA Star specializes in makeup with stick-to-itiveness.

I received the Spicy Natural Eye Shadow palette and the Glitter Glue primer to try.  The golden color is not one I would normally use, but the highlight shade, the mocha color and the purple were right up my alley.  I have brown eyes and purple/amethyst shades are the most complimentary to my eye color.  One problem I have with eye shadow is that it tends to settle into the creases of my eyelid and just look dirty.

Using the Glitter Glue on my eyelids kept the eye shadow from sliding.  I spent the evening in a sweltering hot home and even with the sweat running down my face the eye shadow stayed in place.  This gave me confidence that if I were under hot lights, cheering in front of a crowd, acting on a stage that my eye makeup would stay in place.

I don’t wear makeup but I love the colors though.

Glitter glue base? I’ve never heard of that before. Of course I don’t wear a lot of makeup – but that sounds like something I need for the times I do!

It was the first time I’d heard of it too, but I imagine stage moms and dancers are very familiar with stuff like that. I have a feeling it is going to come in handy this summer on humid days.

Love these colors, especially the yellow, that would be perfect for Summer.

The yellow is one I’d have to get used to. Saw Portlandia one time when Olivia Wilde was guest starring and she wore really garish eye makeup and most of it was yellow. I guess it’s all in the application and occasion.
