IntelliGLASS Real Glass Screen Protector for Your Smart Phone Review & Giveaway, ends 9/30

Of all the items we carry around with us our smart phones are one of the most expensive and, dare I say, precious tools we have.  They are more than “just” a phone.  They are our photo studio, document center, computer and all around connection to the outside world.  How would you feel if you dropped and broke your smart phones screen?  Could you honestly afford to replace it?

I was mortified the day I discovered some micros-cratches on the screen of my practically brand new phone so I was super interested in trying out this screen protector.  I’ve tried other popular film type protectors which were ok for keeping scratches off my screen, but did not stand the test of time.  If it got too hot they rolled right off the phone and they were constantly getting dust and bubbles underneath. What if a screen protector did more than only keep your screen from scratches and fingerprints, but could also prevent your screen from being broken or cracking?  That would be totally awesome!  Thanks to intelliArmor I received an intelliGLASS Smarter Screen Protector for my Samsung Galaxy S4.

My hands are not the most steady and I begged my husband to help me install the screen protector, but he was always too busy.  So, after a clearing of my work space and a good hand washing I took a deep breath and plowed ahead to install the screen protector.  Inside the package comes an alcohol wipe, a microfiber buffing cloth and a bubble removal card (looks like a little SD card) along with the real glass screen protector and a dust attracting film.

wpid-20140911_144226_20140916081716608.jpgFollowing the instructions, first, I used the alcohol wipe to clean the screen of any oils and dirt.  Second, I used the microfiber cloth to buff the screen to a life new shine.  Third, I used the dirt and dust removal tape to remove any remnants of crud from my phone screen.  Lastly, I removed the film from the adhesive side of the screen protector and careful not to touch it I positioned it over the home button on my phone and lowered it over the screen.  It was like magic watching the special silicone adhesive practically suck itself to the screen of my phone without much need for me to press down.

Just a tip, WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO ON THE WEBSITE and remove the protective film from the adhesive only a little bit at a time so the protector stays at an angle to your phone screen while you position it.  That is not made very clear in the instructions.  Doing it this way will prevent the need to re-position the protector quite so much.  There are tips about that in the video too.

Aside from my apprehension about installation I worried that my phone’s touch sensitivity would be hindered.  So far that has not been the case.  The screen itself even looks brighter since installation and the touch sensitivity is as good as ever.  The only thing that has taken some getting used to is how the home button is now sunken instead of raised on the face of the phone.  It still works just fine though.  I’m glad that the phone’s screen is now protected from scratches and possibly even direct impact.

I’d like to give you a full performance review of this screen protector, but I’m not out of my mind. If by some chance I do drop my phone I’ll be sure to come back and update this review on how the screen protector held up.

I like the tip about how to apply the screen. I also like the fact that it doesn’t have any air bubbles when applying the screen, that’s the problem with my current screen protector. I have air bubbles all over my screen.

I have dropped my phone in the tub, the sink and the toilet. I miraculously worked after I dropped it in the tub.

My sister-in-law dropped hers in the pool and it went through the wash one! Can you believe it worked after they dried it out? Not perfectly, but it still worked, lol.
