This little set of salt and pepper grinder is stylish and compact. At first I was a little worried that they would be too top heavy and tipsy, but once filled they stayed pretty steady. That was my problem with other styles of grinders I’ve had. They tend to be too tall and will fall too easily if the table is jarred. These being shorter tended to stay upright. The grinding mechanism works well, though the difference between the fine grind and the more coarse grind doesn’t seem to be very much. There is an indicator to show which direction to turn the adjuster but there is no click or any indication that it’s reached the desired level without testing it first.
