As a newbie to the world of blogging I did not understand many of the new terms presented to me. The other day while searching for something totally unrelated I came across an article that clearly explained what trackbacks, pingbacks and linkbacks were and how to effectively use them. I appreciated this article so much that I am including a linkback to this article here. As I have pingbacks activated in my options the original blog will be notified of this.
If I understand the explanation correctly, since I am also employing the trackback feature with /trackback/appended to the end of the original post link a copy of this post will be added to the comments. This way our posts are interconnected.
I’m showing a few examples of this in the comments below. The topics are not relevant. What matters is that these are comments/posts I made on someone else’s forum/blog and by adding the permalink to this post with /trackback/ behind it I was able to link the two together. Pretty nifty I think.
Firstly, I’m a mom and wife. Professionally, IT consulting is my job and blogging is the outlet for my passions. I write about things that affect the everyday life of a stay-at-home parent or any parent for that matter such as parenting, relationships, discipline, the media, product reviews, giveaways, social media, food, cooking, gardening and anything else that might come my way.
