At the end of my first three weeks I’ve been forced to take a small hiatus from exercising. Saturday I had an assembly to attend. I was up at 3:45 am because of the baby and got up to get everyone ready at 5:30 am. We had a 3 hour drive to Lansing, MI and I still had to pack lunches, etc. We didn’t get back home until after 9PM. Needless to say I had no time for exercise that day.
Earlier in the week I had made plans with my brother-in-law’s family for supper on Sunday. Being that I had not been home 1/2 the day Wednesday or all day Thursday, Friday or Saturday the house was a disaster. I had to wash dishes, clean bathrooms, fold laundry, vaccuum and take care of the kiddies and DH. Thankfully he offered to get us a Subway sandwich for lunch so I didn’t have to prepare lunch too. I would have taken some time to exercise, but he decided to take a nap in the middle of the day so I had no one to take care of the baby while I exercised.
I guess you could say that I had quite a bit of exercise because I was on my feet all day. By that evening I was exhausted, but I still had to cook supper. I made bisteces, rice, beans, pico de gallo and salad. Yeyda helped me make the salad. She is getting pretty good at tearing up the romaine lettuce and putting the pieces in the salad spinner. The bisteces turned out a little tougher than I hoped which was embarrassing. DH didn’t help much by complaining about the meat and what and awful job I had done tenderizing it. I had to remind him that he bought the cut and usually is the one in charge of tenderizing it with my mallet and he didn’t help me even a little bit. Brat. Overall it was a nice evening.
