My father wants me to learn this song and sing it with Mariachis next time they come to town. I haven’t sung in front of a crowd in ages. DH says he’s not embarrassed of my singing when we are at home alone and I’m singing to him. He is the only one who has ever said that to me (not positively, mind you, he indicated there are times when it does embarrass him).
When I was younger I won awards for my performances and recognition for my participation in choirs. I received accolades for my performance of Anita in West Side Story. So I’m not sure what to believe as far .as my singing voice goes. I have .no aspirations of grandeur or fame; I enjoy singing. At the same time I don’t want to embarrass my family.
