GrooveBook is a service exclusively geared toward users of smart phones with cameras. Like me, many smart phone users are always taking pictures of their kids, family, friends, events, parties or even just scenery with their smart phone’s camera. Yet, how often do we take the time to get those pictures printed to display on our walls, refrigerators or even in our friends and families homes? In my experience, not often enough. I’m terrible about getting pictures freed from the sd card and onto paper and in a frame.
When I was engaged by Sverve to review the GrooveBook service I was intrigued about how it would work and what it would cost me. You download the GrooveBook an app to your Android or iOS phone or device. Sync your photo gallery to the app. Select at least 40, but up to 10o of your favorite shots from your gallery and upload them to GrooveBook. If you select less than 100 then images will randomly be selected to be repeated to complete the 100 images in the book. You can though select specific photos to get multiples of so you can have more to share. As for sharing one neat feature of this service is that you can request that multiple books be printed and sent to other addresses, say for instance to send a book of baby pictures to grandparents or share family gathering pics with family far away. Emailing or online sharing of pictures is nice but when a friend or family member gets a surprise book of pictures in the mail that just makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy. On top of it all the books themselves are free!
What’s The Catch
There is no catch, but there is a small shipping fee of $2.99. You have 30 days from the date of your first upload and order to upload another 100 pictures for the next month’s book. You aren’t tied into a contract in perpetuity; you can cancel any time. In preparation for this review I checked out a few other phone to print services and all of them charged per print and then shipping on top of that – none of them had such a low nominal fee as GrooveBook.
How To Get Started
To get your first free Groovebook download the app to your mobile device. In the order screen they will ask for a reference number or coupon use GETINTOTHEGROOVE and you’ll be on your way to getting your free GrooveBook.
