Thanks to Nature’s Sleep I received a complimentary sample for the purposes of review.
Winter has passed and I was sure I wouldn’t have the need for sweaters, thick socks or fuzzy slippers anymore. Here in Northwest Ohio, May has been a confusing month weather-wise with very warm nights, hot days and then frost warnings and very cold, damp conditions. That’s why I quickly became extremely thankful to have received the pink closed toed Memory Foam Slippers from Nature’s Sleep when I did.
The first few days I had them the temps outside were in the 80s making it very warm inside so I did little more than try them on a time or two. I discovered that the Medium (fits size 7-8), which I received, felt a little large on my feet without socks. In shoes I wear a size 7.5 Wide. My foot would slide forward and hit the front of the slipper. It kind of hurt at first because at the time I had a painful ingrown toenail (gross I know). Walking in them took some getting used to. I actually thought I may have to pin the top of the slipper to make it more snug like I’ve seen my mother do before. This didn’t sound like a practical or attractive option. Though it was warm I decided to try them with socks and it made a world of difference! My foot didn’t feel like it flopped in the slipper anymore and I felt more at ease walking in them.
Then three days later the weather took a turn; it got brisk and I got sick (totally unrelated :-P). I couldn’t get warm no matter what I did. The Nature’s Sleep slippers were a savior for my cold and tired feet. Since that day I’ve practically been living in the slippers! Socks, no socks, it doesn’t matter anymore. My feet and legs have become accustomed to how they feel and they are so soft inside and out and comfy I almost can’t wait til really cold weather so I can wear them every day. (Can somebody slap me please? LOL)
They truly are very comfortable slippers and the memory foam conforms nicely to your feet. The bottoms are very substantial, almost like wearing an actual shoe. I haven’t been brave enough to mar them by walking across gravel with them though I have taken them for a stroll down my sidewalk. I live in the country so no one saw me; I think :). I love that the soles are durable and sturdy; makes me feel like I’ll have these for a long time. I’ve worn through the bottoms of many a slipper in my day, but I don’t think I’ll be able to wear through these any time soon.
