Just the other day I was having a conversation with my mom about the dangers of using small straight handled eating utensils with my infant daughter. She had just seen on TV the statistics of how many children had actually swallowed the small forks and sppons while eating. Then there is the longer plastic or metallic utensils you can buy, but there is still the potential for injury and gagging. Not to mention these utensils are difficult to handle with little hands that are still learning how to work.
The innovative and safety conscious designers at Kindertools have developed small plastic tools that are easy for little hands to grasp and use and almost impossible to swallow. The stem of the tools is short thus reducing the choking and gagging hazard and they have a wide triangle handle that is too wide to fit in a child’s small mouth. I found out about these tools after visiting the site of a fellow mom and blogger who had the chance to review the product and is running a giveaway for them. Babies Gotta Have It is running this contest until Monday November 16th at 11:59 Eastern Standard Time.
