Glade Expressions: Make Your Home Smell and Look Beautiful #GotItFree

Thanks to the wonderful marketers at BzzAgent I’ve been able to learn about and try in my home two attractive and pleasantly scented new products from the Glade Expressions line of products.  Glade is obviously trying to make an impression not only with their fragrance but also with the eye-candy like packaging.  Instead of a merely utilitarian dispenser both the Oil Diffuser and the Fragrance Mist donned sleek and art inspired casing.

In addition to the attractive don’t-hide-me-in-the-cabinet look my favorite aspect of the new Glade Expressions product line is their scents.  Inspired by nature the fragrances are potent enough to spruce up any room but not so overpowering or artificial smelling that it would send you into a closet full of dirty sneakers for refuge.   The Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser was a surprising scent-sending star within just minutes of putting it together.  We purchased the Pineapple-Mangosteen variety (and #GotItFree thanks to BzzAgent & Glade) at Wal-Mart and put it on our mantle.  Just minutes later as I walked down the hallway 30 feet away I could clearly perceive the full, fruity and sweet scent of Pineapple and Mangosteen.  The little cutout bamboo ‘walls’ that obscure the white diffuser are truly decorative and would easily fit into a collection of artwork on a coffee table or favorite shelf without looking out of place.  I appreciated that it did not require batteries, plugging in or a flame for it to work so it doesn’t get hot.

The Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist we picked up, also at Wal-Mart, was the Lavender + Juniper Berry.  It reminded me of my favorite laundry detergent.  Whenever I think of Juniper Berry I think of Bombay Sapphire Gin.  The earthiness and mild evergreen like scent mingled so delicately with the aroma of lavender. I felt like I was in the middle of a French lavender field.  The Glade website describes the composition as, “Lush lavender blends with fresh juniper berry, eucalyptus and rose to relax the senses and open your home”.  Wow, all my favorite scents in balance to create a warm and inviting environment in my home.  The only thing better is that I #GotItFree.  The refillable holder was very sexy also.  The silver was more like a pewter color and blended perfectly with the faucets in my bathroom.  It smells so yummy and looks so nice the container has migrated to other rooms in the house without looking out of place.

Update: 2/11/13
A few words of caution – if you are sensitive to strong fragrances and perfumes I would not recommend this because it is very potent.  Though my family is OK with the scent some people may find it too powerful.  Also if you have small children who can’t keep their hands off pretty things you will need to find a high shelf or other out of reach place to set the diffuser.  It does come apart very easily and the fruity fragrance may entice little ones to try and chomp on the diffuser.

My experiences with the Glade Expressions  make me wish I would run out sooner :D.  I look forward to trying all the scents in the Glade Expressions line:

– Cotton & Italian Mandarin
– Apple & Cardamom Spice
– Pineapple-Mangosteen
– Lavender & Juniper Berry

Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist Limited Edition (available at Wal-Mart)
– Garden Sunshine
– Vibrant Bloom
