Thanks to Hask Hair Care I received products for review.
For many years I’ve used Hask hair treatments for softer and stronger hair. When the opportunity came to review some of their new products I jumped at the chance. Finally, the box was dropped off with a caddy full of full size products for me to try. My girls were so excited they were actually fighting over which one would get to unpack it first, LOL! I finally got them calmed down and cut open the box allowing them to pull out the packing and the full size products inside from Hask Beauty.
In the package was included one set of the Moroccan Argan Oil and one set of the Keratin Shampoo, Conditioner, Intensive Conditioner packet, and shine oil. Both are sulfate free! Since the Argan Oil is for repairing I used it first. The Argan Oil shampoo is thick and rich and had a delectable fragrance of citrus. Not like GooGone citrus, but lighter that awakened your senses. It created a dense lather and left my hair very soft. My hair almost felt as if I didn’t need conditioner! The viscosity of the conditioner was a little surprising. For a repairing composition I expected something thicker, but it was quite runny. I didn’t need to worry though. Worked through my hair and left for the 2-5 minutes suggested my hair was luxuriously soft with a pleasant sent of citrus. Anything with the word “oil” in it makes me nervous when used on my hair. I have a relatively oily scalp and it doesn’t need much help weighing down my hair at inopportune times. The Moroccan Argan Oil line of Hask products didn’t weigh my hair down at all or leave it looking greasy or oily. I was even able to use the shine oil on the ends of my hair without any problem. I did still have some frizz though.
The Keratin Shampoo, Conditioner and anti-frizz hair oil all had a fragrance somewhere between mango and passion fruit. Still very nice, but not my favorite of the two. The shampoo was less thick and left my hair feeling a bit waxy. The conditioner though was much thicker than the Argan and left my hair soft and manageable but still with a mild waxy feel. I suppose it is the Keratin protein in the formulation that gives that effect. Once I added the anti-friz hair oil my hair was soft, shiny and easier to manage with my heat styling tools. Though keratin hair treatments are considered more for straightening I noticed that my hair was more willing to take a heat induced curl than before and without the frizz I usually have.
I did have a chance to try the Argan Oil Intensive Hair Conditioning Treatment packet. Even with my long hair there is enough in that packet for 3 or 4 treatments. The cream is pretty thick and goes on the hair easily. It has the same citrus scent as the rest of the line, but there was a distinctive odor that at first I couldn’t place. It was lanolin. I used lanolin as a moisturizer when I was breast feeding my girls so that smell was very familiar. I want to keep my hair growing long so I have to take care that the ends don’t get crispy and the length doesn’t break.

In addition to the fantastic sulfate free products that softened and defrizzed my coif I received a couple US Made Twistbands with the Hask logo printed on them, one pink & one yellow. They are soft, snag free and easy to use. My husband said I looked cute the other day when I used them to tie my hair in pigtail braids.
You can find Hask Beauty products at Wal-Mart and other large retailers. They offer great formulations that perform like salon brands at affordable prices. When it comes to hair care and beauty who can ask for more than something that works and doesn’t break the bank.
