I received this scale for the purposes of review. For the most part this scale functions like most other digital scales with the multiple measuring units and tare feature. What I like about it is the sleek solid glass surface that covers the entire top of the scale. This makes it easy to clean. The on/off and unit are integrated into the top and are not overly sensitive. I can weigh my foods for making dinner or for serving portions. The tare function allows me to build my salad, tare and then add my protein without dirtying another plate for portioning. From a function standpoint I appreciated that the electronics did not go bonkers when my phone was nearby. I’ve had other scales do that and run out of battery fast – not this one.
What I don’t like about it is that the scale display is not backlit so unless you are right in front of it you don’t know if it’s on or off. Not too big of a problem but with kids in the house stuff that shouldn’t be on is getting powered up all the time. Also it runs on two CR2032 watch batteries. This is one less than my old scale, but still they are not a battery I keep on hand regularly. Although the battery compartment is easily accessible and the batteries are simple to replace.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
