It’s only been in recent years that I’ve been able to sit still and read a book for entertainment without distraction. My preferred stories are action, adventure and mystery though I do enjoy the occasional drama and light romance. The Montana Gallagher Trilogy is a series of books I received for the purposes of review. I’m still in the process of reading them. It’s not because of them, but because of me; I have a hard time focusing and relaxing for long periods of time. My mind wanders and I’ve always been that way.
This set of books is one I would recommend for the reader who enjoys adventure, personal interest stories where you get to know the characters intimately and loves Westerns. The development of the story starts from the very beginning. You won’t be left with lingering questions about why the characters find themselves in their current stations in life. Nor will you wonder why they act the way they do. These are definitely stories of love, revenge and survival. I appreciated that the romance was subtle. If it were a movie I’d rate it PG.
