#MagneticScreenDoor iGotTech Review

MagneticScreenDoorADsmMy husband HATES screen doors.  Always has.  When we got our new front door he said there was no way we would ever have a screen door on there again.  I can understand this.  They get in the way, they’re hard to keep open and it can lead to moisture damage on an otherwise nice front door.  The one problem with not being able to have a screen door on the front door is that now I can’t open it to get any kind of air flow in the house.

This left me with the option of putting a screen door on the door leading out to the garage OR on the door leading to the back porch.  The screen door that’s already on the garage door is broken and won’t stay shut, plus the screen is shot.  The back porch door is in a weird place and there is no way to have a hinged screen door installed and expect it to open fully.

Enter the iGotTech #MagneticScreenDoor.  Thanks to Tomoson I received a complimentary sample for the purposes of review.  Using strong velcro tape and fasteners the iGotTech self closing, magnetic screen door is simple to install.  Putting this on the back porch door allows for the children to run in and out as they please without me having to worry much about bugs getting in.  I still have to worry about the AC getting out, but at least one problem is solved!  Since this door is just off the kitchen I can now have it open on cool days to get some needed airflow into the house. . . or when I burn something, lol.  Otherwise I’m stuck relying on windows in the living room and family room to eventually suck out the stale air.  The added airflow of the back door being open helps considerably and the slim, no-hinges-needed, hands free screen door keeps the bugs out! The magnets down the center make sure to keep the door closed as soon as you step through. I tried to get a decent picture of my installation, but I had a hard time getting a good shot.  It’s a tight place with all my gardening junk (as my husband would call it) around it.

The iGotTech Magnetic Screen Door is available on Amazon.  It’s on sale now for $29.95.  Great for frequently used doors and for doors in tight spaces that can’t accommodate a traditional screen door.  It’s easy to install and inexpensive.
