Mpow iSnap X One-piece U-Shape Selfie Stick Review #MPowFans

Thanks to MPow I received a complimentary iSnap X One-Piece U-Shape Selfie Stick for the purposes of review.  This is the first selfie stick that I’ve ever tried so I wasn’t sure what to expect.  It comes fully assembled (nothing to put together) out of the box.  The U-Shaped spring loaded and padded phone cradle was very nice.  It took a little getting used to how to pull the sides open to insert my phone.  Once I got it it wasn’t hard at all and I realized my phone would fit with or without my protective case.  The phone cradle articulates for storage or for getting the best angle for your selfie shot.

The selfie stick is one piece and collapsible.  It folds up very nicely to fit in my purse along with my phone and other accessories like my portable battery pack.  The monopod comes with a small microUSB cable so that the device can be charged in order for the bluetooth to work.  Pairing the selfie stick with your phone is also a breeze.  All you have to do is turn on your phone’s bluetooth function and the monopod and pair them.  That’s it.  Now you can use the bluetooth remote button on the selfie stick’s handle to snap pictures.  If for some reason the device loses it’s charge (like if you forget to turn it off) you can still use the voice commands on your phone to take pictures or video.

I found the selfie stick useful for taking video on the fly too.  A tripod isn’t always available nor is my video camera but I most often have my phone with it’s video function.  So using the monopod I can take fairly steady video of myself or something/someone else without much preparation or fuss.
