Thanks to Era Organics I received a complimentary sample of their HoneyBuns Baby Healing Ointment for the purposes of review. Now I don’t have babies in the house anymore, so you may be wondering why I would ever need a baby healing ointment. Fact of the matter is products formulated for babies delicate skin are also effective for healing the dry, cracked, chapped and irritated skin of people of all ages.

This time of year is terrible for skin irritation because we are constantly trapped inside with the dry heated air. When we go outside the cold air is dry and the cold itself causes problems. We need extra moisture. A product that will stick with you longer is even better than one that absorbs immediately and leaves you feeling itchy in no time.

The Era Organics HoneyBuns Baby Healing Ointment is formulated with natural ingredients to treat diaper rash, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris and anything else that irritates the skin. It has no added fragrance or coloring. The scent that I found most prominent was cocoa butter which I don’t particularly care for though I know it has fantastic moisturizing properties. Moist skin heals better than dry. I added a few drops of my favorite essential oil to give it a fragrance. I used it for my daughters’ hands, my legs and my back which gets really, really itchy and bumpy this time of year. This emollient rich unguent absorbed just enough to not make it feel sticky or like it would stain my clothes. It left my skin feeling nice all day when applied after cleansing.
